Cat Scratch Fever (May 6th, 2025) - The fourteenth week of Spring 2025 brought drama, surprises, and heartbreak to the lanes. For some, one of the surprises is that -- despite more than one person stating to the contrary -- the Championship was not clinched last night and while it remains unlikely (in one case very unlikely), two teams are still mathematically capable of overtaking FILPB before the season ends. One team clawed its way up the leaderboard, while another tumbled down a notch. On the individual front, Cat Atwood scorched the lanes with this week's high game (165) and series (366) for the women. Among the men, Nathan Burrows stormed in with a 223 high game, while Aaron Barber dominated the series leaderboard with a 594. But that’s only the beginning — the lanes had stories to tell.

Cat-astrophic Kittens (Mar 25th, 2025) - We have clawed our way to the halfway mark of the Spring 2025 season, meaning the time to pounce on a championship opportunity is dwindling fast. Week eight saw some teams stretch their paws toward victory, while others took a tumble down the standings. JoAnne Barber scratched out the high game for the women with a 139, while Cat Atwood nimbly leaped to the top with a 391 series. Spencer's Gifts (Mar 18th, 2025) - A nail-biting seventh week of Spring 2025 saw the standings frozen in place, but that didn’t mean the competition was anything less than electrifying. One bowler shattered their personal best, while others clawed for every pin in a battle of grit and determination. JoAnne Barber dominated the women’s lanes with a 132 high game and a 379 series, while Ben Spencer reigned supreme among the men with a jaw-dropping 266 high game and a 645 series.
A Weird, Tie-Infused Night (Feb 25th, 2025) - The fourth week of Spring 2025 rolled in under a waning crescent moon, bringing with it an eerie energy that no one could quite shake. Maybe it was the fact that Alex, rather than Kenny, was manning the grill, or the lingering rust from a missed week. Or perhaps it was the bizarre 70-degree temperature swing that had bowlers questioning reality. People who whould have bowled well didn't, others bowled better than expected, and four of the six teams experienced ties. And by the time it was all over, each of the bottom two teams in the standings saw a member of their team leapfrog up the averages to become the top top players in the league. Whatever the cause, the lanes were filled with strange twists of fate—some teams soared, others stumbled, and one bowler etched their name into personal history.
